We waited until the 9th for a reply from Karla Spetic, when we got none we discussed using Pillow Talk (where Simone works) or Linen House (where I work) as our back up brands. On the 13th we decided to do a follow-up phone call to Karla Spetic which according to Hillary was slightly uncomfortable and it was evident she was not interested in doing the interview. we left it at that. Which left us in a bit of a pickle as we had no brand to interview.
I was sick this week and missed out on the meeting where everyone was assigned what they’d do for the report. However, I was updated that day via messenger. I was to contact Linen House. I emailed Ava the retail manager who is part of the family-owned business. I told her if she could not answer any of the questions then, could she pass them onto her mum (the Creative Director). But as I suspected, Ava was able to answer everything. As its a family business she involved in almost every aspect.
Ava agreed to answer our questions. By the end of the week, we hadn’t heard back so I sent a follow-up email. Which was stressful as the deadline was looming and the last thing i wanted to do was press her.
