This week I showed Signature my mood board and colour selection in person. Jack helped me adjust my colours. We ended up turning the blues into teals and removing some of the brighter colours and adding in more grey. Below is a comparison of the old and new colours.
This week we looked at indexing colours. I sat back from the tutorial and worked with Nicole’s work and help get her design in repeat as I was already familiar with this process. Afterwards, Jack and I went and fetched my colours from the wall, a simpler process now that I was the only one doing. The previous week would have been chaos with everyone else trying to grab colours. We then made my little row of tuffs as my colour selection.
Vesna was happy with just my initial brush work trails that she encouraged me to take them as finals and I was happy with that 🙂
I also talked with about scale, to get my head around how a pixel on screen translates into a tuff of yarn on the floor.
1px = 5mm approx.
and roughly a 1000 pixels = 45cm.
