I missed this lecture ( As I was in WA) which is a real shame as it directly deals with my chosen topic. Theres no audio/video to take in of the lecture so I’ve read the provided lecture materials.
Your topic is one of a large list of options, however you chose it because it was something you wanted to delve into further – what was it and why did it appeal to you?
Picking my topic was easy. As an intersectional feminism I was drawn to the womens work topic. I wanted to explore their role during the war, but got so wrapped up in the amount of informationĀ during the industrial revolution that my abstract just endedĀ up focusing on that.
Does the topic provide you with a range of binaries – e.g either / or structure for your discussion?
Does the topic relate to any of the movements, themes or ideas discussed in this week’s class? Which ones, and how?
yup, I’ll be focusing on the industrial revolution.
Have you thought about your own view on the topic? What might it be?
Exploring the class war that the industrial revolution brought on (well flamed) and the victorian age’s (narrow) view of women as delicate precious flowers/things.
